The Children’s Museum of Richmond
The Children’s Museum of Richmond was founded in 1977. Initially, it operated out of a building owned by the Navy Hill School in downtown Richmond, Virginia. In 2000, it moved to its current location on Broad Street. Today, it features exhibits and programs aimed at children of all ages.

The museum features the largest movie screen in the area, an art studio, and water play areas. Kids can learn a lot from the exhibits in this museum. The exhibits are designed with specific developmental ages in mind and incorporate the NAEYC standards. There are three stories of activities to keep them entertained. Kids can pretend to be a veterinarian, a chef, or a news reporter. In 2015, the museum is adding an expansion area and a three-story climbing experience. There is also a teaching kitchen and art studio.
